Off to the top of Mount Royal today. We walked through Westmount, one of the more affluent parts of Montreal.
Lots of bricks and beautiful buildings. Norm says children here all go to private schools. The name of this one is too funny (the ladies started the school in 1908).
Beaver Lake- ahhh love the colours.
There were school kids everywhere, some cross country run competition.
Once at Mont Royal we could see the city.
See Leonard?
The chalet of Mont Royal where Yellow Bunny almost disappeared.
Now down to McGill through the woods. A terrible case of dying trees on the mountain. The maple trees are being attached by l’agrile de frene, a nasty insect from Asia. They are trying to find ways to save the tree. Good thing we got to enjoy it before they’re gone.
Looking out to the city.
Looking back through McGill
Next the McCord Museum, Haida stories and amazing works of art.
As we walked home we saw Leonard again. Nice!
Bonus photo. At the Chalet at Mont Royal Norman had a tea and the stir stick was not plastic, not metal but it was a piece of fettuccine!! Totally biodegradable! What an excellent solution.
I'm enjoying your photos and comments! Fantastic image of Leonard! And what a great idea for stir sticks! Maybe they could make straws that would last for a few sips, at least.
ReplyDeleteGood idea! Love the Leonard art work!
