Gibsons

Our grandparenting time is up and we are on to Gibsons. A perfect visit with the family and they say we are welcome back anytime. I think some babysitting is on the menu! And we’re keen.

We thought we’d catch a noon ferry to Langdale and it is only 20 minutes from Richard and Sukhia’s. Wrong! We got to the ferry terminal by 11 and OMG there was 9 lanes of traffic. Trucks, trailers, RVs and cars, cars, cars. Fortunately only half were heading to Langdale. We made it to my sister and Rozanne’s by 2, just in time for lunch. Goodbye Horseshoe Bay…..

Check our accommodations and art work by Evelyn. Let me know if you’re interested in purchasing any!!

After lunch (shrimp salad and fresh whole wheat baguette) we went for a walk to check out a possible morning run.
Gibsons offers country life, lots of walking paths and shops you might need. But the big city is closing in and there are signs of development that don’t sit well with the locals. We did a beautiful walk through Chaster forest, full of decades-old stumps growing new trees, but recently sold for a possible townhouse project!!

It would be a shame to lose this place…..

Back for dinner and getting ready for more walking tomorrow. Maybe even a run to start my day!!
