Portugal!

We left at 11:20 Wednesday from Victoria and after 4 hours layover in Toronto, we arrived at 11:00 am Thursday in Lisbon. We organized well for our meals since plane food to Toronto doesn’t exist.

Thanks to Florien for the delicious ham and cheese croissant. Once in Toronto we enjoyed a quinoa salad, a balanced diet.
Limited sleep on the plane so we were tired… then we were quite amazed that we stood in line for at least 1 1/2 hours to get through customs!

Taxi to our Airbnb which is not able to be reached by car but we figured it out.

View from our place! That’s a cruise ship out there with water slides?
Time to go exploring before we fall asleep.

Lots of stairs

And more stairs.

We are getting our exercises. The town is decorating for a festival in June. The town is looking really colourful.

Streamers everywhere.

Some of the buildings and store fronts are lovely!

Perfect!
There are a lot of tourists here. They can travel around on tuk-tuks and there are lots to choose from.

These vehicles can get up hills that cars can’t.

Not something we are planning. We are getting in better shape from walking.
Time to stop for a bite to eat, enjoy the sun and relax.

The restaurant looked classy. Since it was 9am BC time I went for eggs Benedict. Val had a shrimp salad and we shared half of each!

We are back in our apartment. It is quite nice and very clean.

The kitchen area… and we don’t play guitar…

Living room and my bed tonight.

The real bedroom.

This just outside our apartment!
Tonight we will catch up on our sleep and tomorrow we will explore Lisbon.
Boa noite ( good night)

  1. Hi from friends and family (norm) in Victoria where it’s sunny too but not half as colourful. Cool day to be accurate. Enjoy the city!

    2. Beautiful photos, Mary. Thank you for sharing ... (I especially liked the storefront with the load of laundry on the line overhead...) I hope you and Val have a good night's sleep, and that you'll be out and about again in the morning. Can't say I envy you all those stairs, though.

  4. Yes made our own meals. Val is a retired PE teacher and knows how to make meals and she is excellent at walking!
