Medelim

Today we start Gadventures. The bus takes us to the village of Medellin. We are a group of 15 plus our leader Bruna. But first a quick breakfast of ham and cheese bunwhich and freshly squeezed orange juice!!! And of course the token espresso.. no I gave have mine to Val.

It was early, I see I’m not quite neatly dressed. 

Nice bus ride in the Mercedes.

We stopped at an old olive oil “factory “, now restaurant for lunch. Just getting to know the group. 

Lots of excellent homemade dishes. Carrot soup, roast pork, rice, potatoes, roasted vegetables.

The dessert was a variety of sweets. All delicious.

On to the accommodations, Casa do Cedro. Amazing place. 

Check the pool. Very cold… might try it? Google it! 

Off for a hike down to the fossil findings and up to a castle. We are walking to Penha Garcia with local guide. 

A very steep downhill. Fortunately Val had walking sticks to share.
