On our way home

It’s been a great holiday, especially the warm weather. Today we went back to our favourite beach, Waikola, to enjoy the swimming.

It was a bit windy but that meant we could float in the waves.

After the beach it is time for lunch at the Lava Lava Beach Club. It was good last time we came back.

Gazpacho soup for Norm

I had fish tacos. Yummy!

Ceviche for Sue

Outstanding Ahi for Ken

Now a walk on the beach.

When you drive around the big island is amazing what different scenery you see. Where we are at the beach is miles and miles of lava.

On the Hilo side it is lush tropical forests. In Kona there are palm trees of every shape and size.
This is a royal palm . I think…

We loved every different ecosystem.
There is one thing that caused me stress- there is no recycling! It was so hard to put left over papaya, coffee grounds in with paper, plastic and everything else. I asked our airbnb guy and he said unfortunately there is none. So sad.
