Travel to Nijmegen

Today we headed by train to Nijmegen to visit Norm’s second cousin. Their grandfathers were brothers.

Up early to catch the train on a very sunny morning, but cool. You could see your breath.

Kees and Dineke are the most hospitable hosts. We have visited them before but this time they have moved into a new home. They decided that two flights of stairs would not be good as they aged. Now they can live on one level, very smart!

Their new place is beautiful and modern. We have a guest room on the second floor with our own bedroom and bathroom.

Still plans to renovate the bathroom. But it works for us today.

Their daughter, Iris, stopped by with her two children, Lisa and Teun for a quick visit. We were impressed that Lisa, 8, performed a hip hop dance for us. We’ll done.

We had a walk about the new neighbourhood. Back home for appetizers and a hot casserole for dinner. Even a yogurt parfait for dessert.
Tomorrow a big hike hopefully in the sunshine.

  1. You two are not loafing around, for sure! Loved the little fairy cottages with Yellow Bunny yesterday! Hugs, Evelyn
