What a difference a day makes..

Wifi is not reliable on the barge. Bear with us.
Day two of our bike and barge started rainy and continued for two and half hours to pour!

You can see we were definitely soaked. Just as we stopped for lunch at a fair, Flachs Markt, the rain stopped. This was the best fair I have ever been to. Ten times Metchosin Day. It cost eight euros to get in and it must have had over two hundred vendors, roasting pig, jousting, flax making, carving, soap making and so many more old time crafts. I immediately hung around the roast pig for warmth.

Everyone needs their own horn for blowing.
Lots of weaving.
The riders actually crashed into each other but only smashed their jousting sticks and shields. What fun!
Not sure who they were but let us get a photo.

I couldn't leave without a Bratzworts.

Now dry we headed to our ship. Quick stop at a brewery.
Norm just checking where we are going.
Once back at the ship there is always food waiting, chips, cookies, chocolate and drinks.
The food has been pretty good. Breakfast exactly at 8 am not a minute sooner. Make your lunch for the day and dinner usually at 6. Details about that later.......
Tiramisu.

  1. Jousting! Maybe this could be our Cusheon Lake activity this year. The rain hasn't seemed to dampen your enthusiasm, and it looks like you are having fun.
